A matching pair of silver Edwardian silver gilt menu holders, one depicting a Partridge and the other a Curlew, hallmarked London 1909. Oval bases with slots to hold the menus, each bird sat on the surface with superb detail, one with small rubies forming the eyes and the other with emeralds. Each bears the makers mark for London silversmith William Hurcomb along with clear hallmarks. Each presented in good condition with polished gilt finish, the silver showing through in places. Each measure 1.5" long x 1" deep x 1" high. Stock number 40536.
