Edwardian Silver Campaign Thermometer
A collectable Edwardian solid silver campaign thermometer with original bone scale and mercury action thermometer in full working order, hallmarked Birmingham 1902. Cylindrical case with domed top, hanging loop to the top. The base with small holes to let the air in when closed to allow and accurate reading, the cased twisting on the base to open and close the door covering the thermometer. Original bone scale to the interior with reading to one side and temperature points to the opposite side; original mercury action thermometer set to the centre. Hallmarks to all sections and pr...esented in excellent condition. Measures 4.25" high x 0.75" diameter. Stock number 40327.
