Edwardian Mahogany 8 Day Chiming Mantel Clock
An Edwardian period figured mahogany 8 day gong chiming mantle clock. Paris made c.1900. Arched cushion top with brass carry handle to the top. Figured veneers to the front with reeded canted corners and decorative fretwork sound frets to the sides. Sat on a moulded plinth with small brass bracket feet. Convex porcelain dial sat behind a convex glass door with brass surround. 8 day movement with anchor escapement and gong striking on the hour and half hour. Fully overhauled movement, full working order. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 11" high x 9" wide x 6" deep.... Stock number 36832.
