Edwardian Figured Walnut Pedestal Desk
A quality Edwardian figured walnut pedestal desk with original red leather surface and brass ring drop handles c.1900. Large red patinated leather writing surface with tooled edge surround by an outer band of walnut with moulded edge. Sat over three wide drawers each with matched figured book matched veneers, crossbanding and cock beaded edges. Three graduated drawers to each pedestal, moulded plinth to the base with original bracket feet below. Figured book matched veneers to the sides and polished back for free standing; generous kneehole space. Original condition throughou...t with original ring drop brass handles and a superb colour and original patina. Separates into three pieces for moving. Measures 53.5" wide x 29.5" deep x 30" high overall and 23" wide x 24" high at the kneehole. Stock number 41193.
