An early Victorian figured mahogany brass inlaid 8 day single fusee drop dial wall clock with convex dial, in full working order c.1850. Slim moulded surround to the dial with shallow figured mahog...any veneered drop box strung with brass below. Carved ears to the sides of the box with access door to the base and the side. 12" convex dial with Roman numerals and fine detailed blued steel hands, sat behind a matching convex glass, which is set in a polished cast brass bezel forming the door. The single fusee movement with anchor escapement, fully serviced and working. Presented in superb original condition with a deep shine. Measures 13.5" wide x 6" deep x 16.5" high. Stock number 40435.
