Early Victorian Rosewood Writing Box

A fine quality Regency rosewood writing slope with brass stringing and original fitted interior by highly regarded London box maker David Edwards c.1830. The figured polished rosewood veneered exterior double strung with brass to the top and sides, Bramah lock to the front and recessed campaign handles to the sides. The box opening to form a sloping writing surface with fitted pen and ink compartment set across the top.
