Early Victorian Rosewood Pen and Ink Box

An early Victorian figured rosewood pen and ink box with mother of pearl inlay and original fitted interior c.1850. The figured rosewood veneered exterior with decorative mother of pearl inlays to the lid. Twin hinged lids sat either side of the turned carrying handle, single drawer to the base for storing paper and envelopes. The hinged lids opening and folding over to reveal a fitted interior with two original ink wells.
