Early Victorian Oak Two Bottle Tantalus Box
A fine quality early Victorian brass bound figured oak decanter box with the original cut crystal decanters c.1860. Figured oak exterior with brass bound corner pieces and straps, matching lock escutcheon and shield shaped inset to the lid. The top opening to real an original leather and velvet lined interior with ebony edges. The two simple cut crystal decanters with pouring necks and original matching stoppers in perfect condition. Working lock and key. Presented in superb original condition with a deep shine. Measures 8.5" wide x 4.75" deep x 9.5" high. Stock number 38067.
