Early Victorian Marine Barometer in Rococo Case

An unusual early Victorian marine barometer set in a figured mahogany case, fully serviced and working c.1865. Silvered engraved dial with crescent shaped thermometer to the lower half.  The dial is set behind a bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker. Fine figured solid mahogany Rococo style deep casing with shaped surround. Early marine aneroid movement, fully serviced and in full working order. Superb colour and rich patina to the case. Measures 11" wide x 13" high x 3" deep. Stock number 40479.
