An early Victorian mahogany cased 9" dial drop dial single fusse wall clock C.1850. Moulded mahogany surround with brass inlaid drop box below and matching back box with access door to the base and si...de. Convex 9" dial bearing the makers mark for William Blanchard & Son, Silver St, Hull (working at this address 1821-51) Sat behind a glazed convex glass set in a cat polished brass bezel. Single fusse movement with shaped plates and decorative back cock. Fully overhauled movement. Superb polish and colour. Measures 12" wide x 14" high x 5.5" deep. Stock number 34222.
