A stylish and decorative early Victorian embossed oval planter with cast fittings and original liner c.1860. The solid brass exterior with rolled rim to the top and stepped rolled rim to the base. ...Decorated with a fine quality embossed scene of cherubs picking fruit with barrels to the foot of each tree. Sat on small cast brass feet with handles to each side in the Rococo style; original removeable steel liner to the interior. Presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 14" wide including handles x 6.5" high to top of handles (4.5" internal planter depth) x 6" depth across planter top. Stock number 38496.
