The slim case with figured timbers and matching turned cistern cover to th...e base. Arched top with engraved brass scale below, vernier marker set to the side, mercury action barometer tube set to the centre and visible down the centre of the case. Bears the makers mark for Edinburgh barometer maker Thomas Dunn, working at this address from 1843 to 1863. Presented in superb original condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 34" long x 2" wide at the trunk and 4" maximum width at the cistern cover x 1" deep at trunk and 3" deep at cistern cover. Stock number 41196.
