Early Moorcroft Wisteria White Top Vase
An early and difficult to find Moorcroft Wisteria pattern vase with rare white top, signed William Moorcroft c.1913. Broad squat base with short narrow neck and flared rim to the top. The sides of the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined wisteria flowers, buds and foliage painted in rich purples, deep pinks and soft yellows. Dark blue wash to the lower half and desirable white ground to the top half. Signed William Moorcroft to the base along with early Moorcroft, Burslem factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture of 1913. Presented in excellent damage free conditio...n. Measures 5" diameter at the widest point x 4.25" high. Stock number CS333.
