Early George II Stick Barometer by Simon Cade, Charring Cross

An early burr yew cased stick barometer with engraved silvered scale by Simon Cade, Charing Cross, London in superb fully restored condition c.1730. Swept arched cornice forming a pediment to the top with turned ebonised finials sat above and moulded plinth sat below the scale. The trunk with burr yew veneers and deep turned cistern cover to the base. The two piece silvered scale with weather predictions to the left and pressure to the right side plus vernier marker.
