Cast Engine Turned Silver Compact and Lipstick
A top quality George George VI engine turned silver compact with original fitted interior and lipstick, hallmarked Birmingham 1939. The square silver case with clipped corners and engine turned finish to both sides, plus raised section to the top to retain the internal lipstick. The spring loaded lid opening by button release to reveal an original fitted interior with a section for powder, mirror and removable nickel plated Coty lipstick. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Joseph Gloster along with clear hallmarks to all sections and weighing 3.5 troy oz exclud...ing the lipstick. Presented in immaculate condition. Measures 2.75" wide x 2.5" deep x 0.5" high. Stock number 42191.
