A late Victorian mahogany cased 8 day bell chiming English dial clock with 8" painted dial. C1890. Polished solid mahogany frames and matching back box with access door to the base. Painted dial with Roman numerals bearing the retailers name M. A. Slawson, Brighton. Glazed window set in a polished brass bezel. 8 day movement with anchor escapement and rare bell chiming to the hour and half hour. Fully overhauled movement. Measures 10" diameter ( dial 8" ) x 5.25" deep. Stock number 33601.
