An Edwardian period solid silver sovereign case with dimpled finish in the style of a golf ball. Hallmarked Birmingham 1908. Hanging loop to the top with button release for the hinged sprung opening front. Dimpled exterior with plain panel for engraving on. Opens to reveal a sprung loaded engine turned section for holding the sovereign. Bears the makers mark for A. L. Dennison. Mint condition. Measures 1.25" diameter x 0.5" deep. SN 33848.
