Antique Silver Globe Theatre Commemorative Vesta Case
A Victorian silver vesta case with embossed decoration to the front. Hallmarked Sheffield 1895. A rare and very collectible commemorative silver vesta case made to celebrate the third season of the play of Charlies Aunt playing at the Globe theatre, London. Presented on the first night 21st November 1895, and this case engraved with the same to the rear. Embossed image of Charlies Aunt to the front, snap opening top and striker to the base. Bears the makers mark for Walker & Hall. Excellent condition with a deep shine. 4.5 cm high x 3.7 cm wide x 0.8 cm deep. Stock number 33783.
