Aitchison & Co Rope Twist Case Skeletonised Barometer
A superior quality Victorian oak turned rope twist design cased aneroid barometer with skeletonised movement by Aitchison & Co makers to H.M. Government c.1910. The solid figured turned English oak case with rope twist design border sat around the outer edge. Porcelain plate circular dial sat around the skeletonised movement. Polished brass bezel with inset bevelled edge glass and central reading marker sat over the top. Bears the makers mark name Aitchison & Co makers to H.M Government (later Dolland & Aitchison). Presented in excellent condition, fully serviced and workin...g. Measures 7.5" diameter x 5" dial x 2.5" deep. Stock number 41867.
