9ct Gold Engine Turned Match Case

A fine quality engine turned 9ct solid gold match case, hallmarked Birmingham 1928. Engine turned finish to both sides, the fase with shaped outer edge rolling over the rear section to form a snap catch. Opens to reveal a gilded interior with embossed shaped lip forming a holder for the card of matches. Weighs 24.6 grams, Bears the makers mark for Hasset & Harper. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 2.25" long x 1.5" wide x 0.25" deep. Stock number 37710.
