A superb and difficult to find large George II period oak oval 8 seat gate leg table in wonderful original condition c.1740. The original planked top with oval drop leaves to each side, moulded str...etchered base with hand turned vase design legs; small turned feet to each leg. The leaves lifting and the gate action legs pulling out to support the top to form a large oval table seating 8 people with ease. Superb original condition with a rich patina throughout, very sturdy and useable. Measures closed 60" wide x 27" deep x 30.5" high or 60" wide x 72" deep when fully open. Chairs shown in photograph are for demonstration purposes and are sold separately. Stock number 39512.
