1920's Persian Wool Rug Runner

A pure wool Persian runner from the Hamadan area of Persia in superb unworn condition c.1920's. Deep red background with a repeated geometric floral design to the centre, complementing geometric border with a cream background running continuously around the edges. Deep close hand knotted pile.
